Past DVD/Digital Desserts

July 11, 2021 ~ I have been putting in long hours out in the shop and I have watching Discovery+. Well, more like playing it in the background! I love the supernatural and horror shows!

June 7, 2020 ~ In these trying times (this seems to be the catch phrase of the COVID-19 era) everyone has been watching and watching Netflix, Amazon, Acorn, Hulu, HBO, YouTube, PBS, Shudder, etcetera.  We are no different.  However, we have not binge-watched the last season of The Big Bang Theory yet.  We've finished season 11, but seem to be hanging on to watch season 12.  Why you ask?  Because we just aren't ready to have a good thing end!

May 24, 2018 ~ Can you believe I fell asleep during this movie at the theater?!  GASP!  So, when it became available as a digital download, I went for it!  I've renamed this section to DVD/Digital Desserts since I like getting digital copies of movies instead of buying the DVD.  Dale still likes to get DVDs of certain titles, but he gets the ones with the digital copy of the movie so HE can have it.  Enough said about that.  Thor: Ragnarok...super-cool movie, and of course, Thor is my eye-candy of the Marvel Universe!  LOVE HIM!  This witty and action packed movie keeps me awake whenever I watch it now, I can tell you that!

May 13, 2016 ~ So, I didn’t know that this was a Marvel Comic Avengers movie, but it is.  AND it’s also considered an X-Men movie too, I guess.  Dale and I saw this at the theater a while back, and we just received the DVD/Digital Copy/Blu-ray in the mail.  Soooooo inappropriate, but soooooo funny.  I haven’t quite figured out if he’s bad or good or what.  Ryan Reynold’s performance is reminiscent of Jim Carrey in the “The Mask” as he’s very campy and seems to have a lot of the same voice inflections and physical moves.  But don’t let that discourage you!  Hey, I did like “The Mask.”   This is definitely one to watch if you didn’t catch it in the theater, BUT this is one Marvel Comic movie not for children!!

May 30, 2015 ~ The "Homesman" movie was in my last Netflix batch of DVDs. I've always been a big fan of Tommy Lee Jones, and the synopsis of this film seemed intriguing. At first it drew me in and I love seeing how people lived in the "olden days." As the movie passed, there were some serious changes to the plot that I wasn't too sure about.. Without spoiling it, I was a bit annoyed. All in all, it was a good story. Well, because I like Tommy Lee Jones so much. Ha! It's based on a novel and TLJ directed it and wrote the screenplay. Hats off to him, but I don't believe I'll be watching this one again.
