July 11, 2021 ~ I have been catching up with one of my favorite true crime podcasts, Morbid. Alaina and Ashleigh (Ash) are an aunt/niece duo but are more like sisters. I love the banter, swearing, and stories! Many are about cases I already know, but hearing these two tell the stories is a treat!

 

 

June 7, 2020 ~ Since I've been cleaning up my shop, I've really been enjoying listening to my records on my vintage turn table. I just ordered The Pixies "Surfer Rosa" and I'm thirstin' to get this spinning! I have a bunch of mine, my sister's, and my friend's old album, but who knew that vinyl would be so readily available now? And at a reasonable price! Really, at 1980's prices! WTF? It's like I never left my teen years!

 

 

  May 24, 2018 ~ After watching this movie on HBO, both my husband, Dale and I thought "Wow, what a cool soundtrack!" and I purchased it on iTunes.  There is a super-special rendition of "99 Luftballons" by Kaleida.  It's a bit haunting and far from the 80's version sung by Nena.  It was well worth the purchase to get the whole album.  Plus, there are several 80's songs that you probably haven't heard since...well, the 80's! 

May 13, 2016 ~ Okay, okay...what can I say? I do love Milli Vanilli...whomever they were. 

I've been listening to their songs lately. Especially the title "Take It As It Comes." I think that wasn't a Top-40 song, but I think it's one of the better. I had often thought of doing my own recording of this song, You know, just for kicks and giggles. Of course, I'd change the gender of whom I'm singing to. Girl to boy. Yeah.

Of course, there would have to be a warning to any potential listener: "Caution, may cause profuse bleeding from the ears."

May 30, 2015 ~ Pandora...still love it. I've subscribed to it for years now and I love that I can play it from my computer, TV, or iPad/iPhone and listen to lovely music. Thank you, Pandora for opening up that box.
